History of EcoBuild

2007-2012 Institute Excellence Centre EcoBuild

  • EcoBuild was hosted by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and financially supported by Vinnova, The Knowledge Foundation and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.
  • The total turnover of the Centre was 160 MSEK and the results were disseminated in about 250 scientific publications.
  • 28 Industrial partners and collaboration with 7 universities and 5 institutes.

2013-2016 Member Based Competence Centre EcoBuild

  • A member based competence centre jointly hosted by SP and Swerea IVF.
  • The total turnover of the Centre was 100 MSEK and the results were disseminated in 74 scientific publications.
  • 23 Industrial partners and cooperation with 10 universities and 4 institutes.

2017- Competence Platform EcoBuild

  • EcoBuild is a Competence Platform at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).
  • EcoBuild’s network is now non-member based but we have close contact with previous and new industry partners.
  • Due to the merge of SP, Innventia and Swedish ICT, we now have an even stronger competence base to offer our customers. The platform has its base in the RISE division of Bioeconomy,  collaborating with other divisions such as Bioscience and materials.
